1. SILENT NIGHT
Silent night! holy night!
all is calm, all is bright
round the virgin and her child.
Holy infant, so gentle and mild,
sleep in heavenly peace;
sleep in heavenly peace!
Silent night! holy night!
shepherds quake at the sight,
glory streams from heaven afar:
heavenly hosts sing, ‘Alleluia,
Christ the Saviour is born,
Christ the Saviour is born.’
Silent Night! holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light:
radiant beams your holy face
with the dawn of saving grace,
Jesus, Lord, at your birth,
Jesus, Lord, at your birth.
all is calm, all is bright
round the virgin and her child.
Holy infant, so gentle and mild,
sleep in heavenly peace;
sleep in heavenly peace!
Silent night! holy night!
shepherds quake at the sight,
glory streams from heaven afar:
heavenly hosts sing, ‘Alleluia,
Christ the Saviour is born,
Christ the Saviour is born.’
Silent Night! holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light:
radiant beams your holy face
with the dawn of saving grace,
Jesus, Lord, at your birth,
Jesus, Lord, at your birth.
2. O COME, ALL YOU FAITHFUL
O come, all you faithful,
joyful and triumphant,
O come now, O come now to Bethlehem;
come and behold him,
born the King of angels:
O come, let us adore him (x3)
Christ the Lord!
See how the shepherds,
summoned to his cradle,
leaving their flocks, draw near to gaze;
we too will thither
bend our joyful footsteps: [Chorus]
Sing choirs of angels,
sing in exultation,
sing all ye citizens of heaven above.
‘Glory to God,
glory in the highest!’ [Chorus]
joyful and triumphant,
O come now, O come now to Bethlehem;
come and behold him,
born the King of angels:
O come, let us adore him (x3)
Christ the Lord!
See how the shepherds,
summoned to his cradle,
leaving their flocks, draw near to gaze;
we too will thither
bend our joyful footsteps: [Chorus]
Sing choirs of angels,
sing in exultation,
sing all ye citizens of heaven above.
‘Glory to God,
glory in the highest!’ [Chorus]
3. ONCE IN ROYAL DAVID’S CITY
Verse 1 sung by soloist
He came down to earth from heaven,
who is God and Lord of all;
and his shelter was a stable,
and his cradle was a stall;
with the poor, despised and lowly,
lived on earth our Saviour holy.
Not in that poor lowly stable,
with the oxen standing by,
we shall see him, but in heaven
set at God’s right hand on high,
when his children gather round
bright like stars, with glory crowned.
He came down to earth from heaven,
who is God and Lord of all;
and his shelter was a stable,
and his cradle was a stall;
with the poor, despised and lowly,
lived on earth our Saviour holy.
Not in that poor lowly stable,
with the oxen standing by,
we shall see him, but in heaven
set at God’s right hand on high,
when his children gather round
bright like stars, with glory crowned.
4. JOY TO THE WORLD
Joy to the world! the Lord is come;
let earth receive her King;
let every heart
prepare him room,
and heaven and nature sing (x2)
and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.
Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns;
let us our songs employ;
while fields and floods,
rocks, hills and plains
repeat the sounding joy (x2)
repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
and makes the nations prove
the glories of his righteousness
and wonders of his love (x2)
and wonders, wonders of his love.
let earth receive her King;
let every heart
prepare him room,
and heaven and nature sing (x2)
and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.
Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns;
let us our songs employ;
while fields and floods,
rocks, hills and plains
repeat the sounding joy (x2)
repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
and makes the nations prove
the glories of his righteousness
and wonders of his love (x2)
and wonders, wonders of his love.
5. HARK THE HERALD ANGELS
Hark! the herald-angels sing
glory to the new-born King,
peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled.
Joyful, all you nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with the angelic host proclaim,
‘Christ is born in Bethlehem.’
Hark! the herald-angels sing
glory to the new-born King.
Hail, the heaven-born Prince of Peace!
Hail, the sun of righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,
risen with healing in his wings,
mild, he lays his glory by;
born, that we no more may die;
born, to raise us from the earth;
born to give us second birth. [Chorus]
glory to the new-born King,
peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled.
Joyful, all you nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with the angelic host proclaim,
‘Christ is born in Bethlehem.’
Hark! the herald-angels sing
glory to the new-born King.
Hail, the heaven-born Prince of Peace!

6. DING DONG MERRILY ON HIGH
Ding, dong! merrily on high
in heav'n the bells are ringing.
Ding, dong! verily the sky
is riv'n with angel singing.
Gloria, hosanna in excelsis!
E'en so here below, below
let steeple bells be swungen,
and "Io, io, io!"
by priest and people sungen. [Chorus]
Pray you dutifully prime
your matin chime, ye ringers.
May you beautifully rime
your evetime song, ye singers. [Chorus]
in heav'n the bells are ringing.
Ding, dong! verily the sky
is riv'n with angel singing.
Gloria, hosanna in excelsis!
E'en so here below, below

7. CHILD IN THE MANGER
Child in the manger, infant of Mary;
outcast and stranger, Lord of all;
child who inherits all our transgressions,
all our demerits on him fall.
Once the most holy child of salvation
gently and lowly lived below;
now as our glorious mighty Redeemer,
see him victorious over each foe.
Prophets foretold him infant of wonder;
angels behold him on his throne;
worthy our Saviour of all their praises;
happy for ever are his own.
outcast and stranger, Lord of all;
child who inherits all our transgressions,
all our demerits on him fall.
Once the most holy child of salvation
gently and lowly lived below;
now as our glorious mighty Redeemer,
see him victorious over each foe.
Prophets foretold him infant of wonder;
angels behold him on his throne;
worthy our Saviour of all their praises;
happy for ever are his own.
8. O LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM
Verse 1 sung by soloist
How silently, how silently,
the wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
the blessings of his heaven.
No ear may hear his coming;
but in this world of sin,
where meek souls will receive him, still
the dear Christ enters in.
O holy child of Bethlehem,
descend to us, we pray;
cast out our sin, and enter in;
be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels
the great glad tidings tell;
O come to us, abide with us,
our Lord Immanuel.
How silently, how silently,
the wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
the blessings of his heaven.
No ear may hear his coming;
but in this world of sin,
where meek souls will receive him, still
the dear Christ enters in.
O holy child of Bethlehem,
descend to us, we pray;
cast out our sin, and enter in;
be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels
the great glad tidings tell;
O come to us, abide with us,
our Lord Immanuel.
9. JINGLE BELLS
Dashing through the snow
in a one-horse open sleigh.
O'er the fields we go, laughing all the way.
Bells on bobtails ring, making spirits bright.
What fun it is to ride and sing
a sleighing song tonight!
Jingle bells, jingle bells,
Jingle all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to ride
in a one-horse open sleigh, hey! (Repeat)
in a one-horse open sleigh.
(Repeat)
10. RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
You know Dasher and Dancer
and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
and Donner and Blitzen,
but do you recall the most famous
reindeer of all?
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer,
had a very shiny nose,
and if you ever saw it,
you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names,
they never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say,
“Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”
Then how the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
“Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer,
you’ll go down in history!”
and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
and Donner and Blitzen,
but do you recall the most famous
reindeer of all?
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer,
had a very shiny nose,
and if you ever saw it,
you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer

11. AWAY IN A MANGER
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
the little Lord Jesus
laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky
looked down where he lay,
the little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
but little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.
I love you, Lord Jesus
- look down from the sky,
and stay by my side until morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask you to stay
close by me forever, and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children
in your tender care,
and fit us for heaven to live with you there.
the little Lord Jesus
laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky
looked down where he lay,
the little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
but little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.
I love you, Lord Jesus

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask you to stay
close by me forever, and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children
in your tender care,
and fit us for heaven to live with you there.
12. MARY’S BOY CHILD
Long time ago in Bethlehem
so the Holy Bible say,
Mary’s boy child Jesus Christ
was born on Christmas Day.
Hark, now hear the angels sing.
“A new King born today!”
and we will live for evermore,
because of Christmas Day.
Trumpets sound and angels sing,
listen to what they say.
That we will live forever more,
because of Christmas Day.
While shepherds watch their flock by night
they see a bright new shining star.
They hear a choir sing a song,
the music seemed to come from afar.
Now Joseph and his wife, Mary,
came to Bethlehem that night.
They found no place to bear her child.
Not a single room was in sight. [Chorus]
By and by they find a little nook,
in a stable all forlorn,
and in a manger, cold and dark,
Mary’s little boy was born.
Long time ago in Bethlehem,
so the Holy Bible say,
Mary’s boy child Jesus Christ
was born on Christmas Day. [Chorus]
so the Holy Bible say,
Mary’s boy child Jesus Christ
was born on Christmas Day.

13. AUSSIE JINGLE BELLS
Dashing through the bush,
in a rusty Holden ute,
kicking up the dust, esky in the boot.
Kelpie by my side, singing Christmas songs,
it’s summertime and I am in
my singlet, shorts and thongs. Oh!
Jingle bells, jingle bells,
jingle all the way.
Christmas in Australia
on a scorching summer’s day, hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells,
Christmas time is beaut!
Oh, what fun it is to ride
in a rusty Holden ute!
Engine’s getting hot,
we dodge the kangaroos.
The swaggy climbs aboard,
he is welcome too.
All the family’s there, sitting by the pool,
Christmas day, the Aussie way,
by the BBQ. Oh! [Chorus]
Come the afternoon, Grandpa has a doze,
the kids and Uncle Bruce
are swimming in their clothes.
The time comes round to go,
we take a family snap,
and pack the car and all shoot through
before the washing up. Oh! [Chorus]
in a rusty Holden ute,
kicking up the dust, esky in the boot.
Kelpie by my side, singing Christmas songs,
it’s summertime and I am in
my singlet, shorts and thongs. Oh!
Jingle bells, jingle bells,

14. THE NORTH WIND
The north wind is tossing the leaves,
the red dust is over the town,
the sparrows are under the eaves,
and the grass in the paddock is brown;
as we lift up our voices and sing,
to the Christ-child the heavenly King.
The tree ferns in green gullies sway,
the cool stream flows silently by,
the joy bells are greeting the day,
and the chimes are adrift in the sky;
as we lift up our voices and sing,
to the Christ-child the heavenly King.
the red dust is over the town,
the sparrows are under the eaves,
and the grass in the paddock is brown;
as we lift up our voices and sing,
to the Christ-child the heavenly King.
The tree ferns in green gullies sway,
the cool stream flows silently by,
the joy bells are greeting the day,
and the chimes are adrift in the sky;
as we lift up our voices and sing,
to the Christ-child the heavenly King.
15. THE THREE DROVERS
Across the plains one Christmas night,
three drovers riding blithe and gay,
looked up and saw a starry light
more radiant than the Milky Way;
and on their hearts such wonder fell,
they sang with joy, "Noel, noel,
noel, noel, noel!"
The air was dry with summer heat,
and smoke was on the yellow moon,
but from the heavens, faint and sweet,
came floating down a wonderous tune;
and, as they heard, they sang full well,
those drovers three, "Noel, noel,
noel, noel, noel!"
The black swans flew across the sky,
the wild dog called across the plain,
and starry lustre blazed on high,
still echoed on the heavenly strain;
and still they sang "Noel, noel!”
Those drovers three, "Noel, noel,
noel, noel, noel!
three drovers riding blithe and gay,
looked up and saw a starry light
more radiant than the Milky Way;
and on their hearts such wonder fell,
